I am delighted that Lynda Gray, author of the book, First Nations 101: Tons of Stuff You Need to Know about First Nations People, will be coming to Bowen Island on November 4th to give a reading from her book and engage in a Q&A with the audience. This is an important book that should be read by every Canadian interested in healing the deepest wound in Canada – the relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous.
I’ve met Lynda and heard her speak and she presents her knowledge with humour and insight. This event will be part of the Knowing Our Place series of Reconciliation events which I have organized in collaboration with the Bowen Island Arts Council and the Bowen Island Public Library.
